Castlemains Farm Update – August News from the Farm

It’s been another busy (and exciting!) few weeks here at Castlemains, with plenty going on around the farm as we edge closer to autumn.

🐥 New Chicks on the Farm

We’re welcoming the newest additions to the Castlemains family – our latest batch of fluffy chicks! They’re settling in well and are already a hit with visitors. Watching them grow is always such a joy, and we can’t wait to see them out exploring in the months to come.

Our lamb is naturally grass-fed here at Castlemains, producing tender, flavoursome meat perfect for Sunday roasts, curries, or even a simple midweek supper. Don’t miss out – once it’s gone, it’s gone!

🐷 Saddleback Piglets

We’re also very excited to introduce our two new young Saddleback pigs – one boy and one girl. At 2 months old, they’re full of character and proving to be a little mischievous at the moment, with several daring escape attempts already! Thankfully, we’ve now found them a field they seem to be staying in (for now!) and they’re loving rooting about and exploring their new space.

🌾 Hay for Winter

Our first couple of loads of hay have arrived and are safely stacked away for the colder months ahead. It’s always a relief to know the animals will be well looked after through winter, and it’s a reminder that even in the height of summer, we’re always planning ahead.

🎨 Indoor School Refresh

Our indoor riding school has had a fresh coat of paint! It’s looking brighter and more welcoming than ever. We’re really pleased with how it’s turned out and know our sharers will appreciate the upgrade.
